The Aquatic Sports Association of Malta’s Girls Water Polo Academy took part in the European Week of Sport, organised by SportMalta. The young players enjoyed a training session in a different setting, bringing energy and enthusiasm to the pool.
Experiences like this encourage participation, teamwork and, above all, the enjoyment of sport. Well done to all the girls who took part.
Malta defeated Australia 3–0 in their placing match at the World Aquatics Open Championships in Dubrovnik. The team, coached by Anthony Farrugia, won all three sessions to secure ninth place. Stevie Camilleri and Alec Fenech scored four goals each.
